The Atlanta real estate Metro market is still a buyers market, and will be for some time to come. Despite fewer Atlanta homes for sale this year over last year, the reality is that fewer Atlanta homes are being sold. Atlanta home buyers are looking for a great deal! It's my opinion it is a perfect time to buy a home in Atlanta. This applies to especially to Atlanta homes, condos, townhomes, houses, lofts, and also high end Atlanta luxury homes market which has been immune until just recently. Atlanta real estate listings are coming off their highs...the Atlanta Metro area still has over supply of homes for sale in Atlanta real estate and it is caused by many factors: an over supply of new homes, foreclosures of Atlanta luxury homes, inability to get loans for higher priced homes, and an oversupply of in town homes and condos. Atlanta buyer demand has waned due to tighter credit standards and loan requirements.
