What Do I Really Want to Buy, When I Buy A Home in Atlanta?

BUYING A HOME IN ATLANTA? IT'S SMART TO MAKE A LIST FIRST!

The best way to start the home buying process in Atlanta is to call Jim and Ellen Crawford First!  Then you need to make a list!  On that list include each and every detail you want in your new home.  Include location of the home, where you want to live in the Atlanta area, the school district you want, the style, age of home, size, and any other exact details that would match your description of your perfect home in our Atlanta area.  Make sure you are certain that you have included everything. Put the list away for a while, and then take it out again.  Have you thought of anything to add?   It could probably be revised hundreds of times!  Why?  Because interests and priorities change, and nothing is perfect!  

That's why there is an eraser on the back of your pencil!  There is no one home in Atlanta that will ever meet all your expectations!  If you think there is, you'll be disappointed, and will never purchase anything.  Compromise is a reality when searching for just the right home.  There has to be trade-offs.  You may not get the whirlpool tub you wanted, however the kitchen may have more built-ins that you had expected, and a double oven!  The garage may not be a three-car garage, but the den may have a stacked stone fireplace!

Discuss each item on the list with your REALTORS Jim and Ellen of RE/MAX Greater Atlanta North Atlanta, deciding which are the most beneficial to you and  your family.  Be prepared to compromise a little on the rest.  Above all, be realistic!  Look for homes in Atlanta that have the greatest number of desired features. When you find a home with some of the less important ones present also, consider it a bonus!  Don't be surprised if it becomes necessary to compromise on one of the top priority items.  It does happen!  For an enjoyable home purchase experience, be flexible. Each Atlanta home and property you see will be somewhat unique. So locate the Atlanta home that offers your family the most comfort and security, then be prepared to buy it.
